This place got on my radar a once the rumor surfaced that it was the original location that the movie and video game series Silent Hill was based from. It was told that one day when the city dug a hole and burnt its garbage, the fire hit an underground coal mine causing fissures, smoke, deadly vapors, and other environmental issues that forced the town to be evacuated.
The abandoned highway was rerouted and is now home to around 1.5 miles of road graffiti.
I explore the highway once more, the cemeteries next to it, and even the coal mine that is connected.
